Role Overview: As a Communications Intern at ICE Mentors, you will play a key role in supporting our communication strategies and enhancing our outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Assist in writing and editing content for social media, and newsletters.
Support the production of multimedia content, including videos and graphics, to enhance our storytelling.
Social Media Management:
Help manage and update ICE Mentors’ social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Monitor social media trends and suggest innovative ideas to improve our online presence.
Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build our online community.
Newsletter Development:
Assist in the creation and distribution of monthly newsletters to keep our supporters and stakeholders informed about our activities and achievements.
Collect and organize content for newsletters, ensuring a mix of informative and engaging material.
Campaign Support:
Assist in the planning and execution of communication campaigns to promote ICE Mentors’ programs and events.
Track and report on campaign performance metrics, providing insights for future strategies.
Support event promotion and coverage, including live social media updates.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and best practices in nonprofit communications.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms and basic knowledge of social media management tools.
Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Positive attitude, creativity, and a willingness to learn.
